Sunday Side Dish

Sun⋅day  [suhn-dey]

-noun

   1.  The day to spend with family, eat yummy food and relax.                                                                                                   2.  The best day of the week.

Every Sunday I know I have a place to go to spend time with family and enjoy a fabulous feast.  For the last 6 years (my whole married life), my in-laws (or my parents) have invited us to dinner every Sunday.  No joke.  It's like Thanksgiving each week.  I have really enjoyed Sundays and have decided it's about time I contribute to this wonderful dinner.  So, I have decided to start making a Sunday Side Dish.  So this is what I made:

Broccoli Salad

Sorry about the picture.  But really, this salad is soooooo yummy.  It has to be one of my favorites.  Give it a try.

4 Crowns of Broccoli
1 cup raisins
1 can waterchestnuts
6 slices of bacon crumbled
1 small red onion chopped

Dressing:
1 cup mayonaise
1/3 cup rice vinegar
1 tablespoons soy sauce
6 tablespoons sugar
salt to taste

Mix all together and let chill for a few hours.  Before serving, toss again.

In conclusion.  I would like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to my family for always being so generous!  Thank you for providing a place for us to come and relax and enjoy the Sabbath day.  Your efforts every week do not go unnoticed and we appreciate all you do for us.

I wish I had somewhere to go. If I lived in AZ I would. I have to cook every Sunday.

How much would you charge for the xmas card holder? I think I might want one or two.
