Ever since I have discovered "couponing", I get the biggest kick out of grocery shopping. Today, with all the kids in tow, we headed to Albertson's. Normally I would not take the kids, but I had to go before the sale went off. So, as I roamed around Albies with a handful of coupons in my hand, I started looking around and almost everyone I saw was doing the same thing... coupons in hand, multiple children (mostly behaving), trying to get the best deal. I just found it entertaining and fun. It seriously is a big game, and it makes grocery shopping so much more interesting! If you haven't tried it yet, you should! And if you are not going to then....give me your coupons! If you think I am kidding, I'm not. I'll come and get them if you are just going to throw them out. :)
Now, before you read how much I paid this grocery trip let me clarify that I am just a beginner. I aspire to get an even better deal one day, but I am pretty happy about how much I am saving, considering that a couple weeks ago I would have bought most of this same stuff and been paying twice what I just paid.
I saved $43.34 ($11.50 of that was in clipped coupons, $31.84 was store sale savings) this trip. The total bill was $14.94 (which included a 3 lb roast!)... See pic:

Way to go, honey! You're amazing to say the least.
I have never done the couponing thing... but I've heard about it... my question is, do you find you buy things you normally wouldn't buy just because you have coupons? Or do you stick to a list of things you normally buy? And where do you find your coupons? I don't get the paper or anything.
Way to go Hailey! I am going to my friends "coupon party" Thursday to learn more about this. I hope to be joining the Albertson's moms soon!
I started this week to!! 12 boxes of mac n' cheese and 4 boxes of cereal for $3.84! Love the coupons, we'll have to thank Heather.
Way to go! You did good! I'm planning to go out shopping tomorrow with my coupons...wish me luck!
